From my perspective, this song is quite graphic. Here's my interpretation verse by verse BTW. So the first line sees Ariana willing to be swayed into this interaction, and so she may want to hear anything from a good compliment to what the guy wants from her. Then she is asking to have her breath 'taken away' by this man, which points out that she needs a moment where she is dazzled and amazed to the point where you're feeling so much pleasure you can barely say a word. Then she is wanting to invade the man's space, or in more clear terms, hold the person so close that she cannot let go. Then she ends the verse by explaining that even in the bad times of pain found in this pleasurable relationship, she can find comfort with him as a result.

In the pre-chorus, Ariana is being serious that she REALLY wants to have really graphic sex, so when she bites her lip, that's when it starts. Then they will both know that what they are doing will be so powerful and full of pleasure that they cannot stop, but she wants to know why it's believable; even though she is happy to engage in some rough loving she wants a reason to believe there is something more ahead.

Now in the chorus, Ariana tells her lover, that if she wants this relationship to go on for a little longer, then he will have to work more 'harder' to make it happen. This “love” also seems to be an innuendo about wanting rough sex. Simplistically, she is asking him to show more love than usual. The repetition of 'love me' near the end of the chorus kinda reinforces that she is serious.

Now The Weeknd, in the second verse, explains how he starts having this rough and dirty business with Ariana, before telling her that the girls who actually love him and want something more typically end up abandoned. He then implies in the next line that he may not be an easy person to be with, therefore she might have to struggle through the relationship. But he reassures her that in order to find comfort, she should be hedonistic and enjoy the sex.

This next pre-chorus is pretty graphic and indecent; he will make her moan, which subtly means that she should be ready for the big roller coaster ride, that is being fucked to the point of pleasure and enjoyment. The pressure between her hips might more accurately be described as a euphemism for “the pressure against her cervix” and how he will make it feel like the first time is not a feeling similar to the pressure women have in their hip when they lose their virginity, because that feeling is anatomically located at the women’s hymenal opening — just to reiterate, virginity is a complex concept, but it is certainly not in a girl's hip.

Now the bridge sees both Ariana and the Weeknd take on how to tackle difficulties in the relationship, which he does by trying to love her harder, and the end conveys her seriousness on the situation, if he ultimately fails, that's the end of it; she will leave.
